2026 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS TEAM COMPLETED - Table Tennis Canada
MEN – Club TT Préstige, Montreal (17-18 January 2026)
At the conclusion of the selection tournament, Quebec sweeps the 3rd and 4th place on the Canadian Men’s Team to the 2026 World Team Table Tennis Championships’ to be held in London on 28 April – 10 May 2026.
In the final phase of the tournament, in one semi-final Siméon Martin (QC) defeated his brother and Prestige TT Club member, Mattéo Martin (QC), 3-0 (7, 8, 8).
In the other semi-final, Laurent Vigneault-Jutras (QC) defeated Jonathan Li (BC) in a very close after trailing by 2 games to win the match 3-2 (-6, -9, 8, 6, 8).
In the final match to determine the 3rd and 4th place, in order, of the team, Siméon Martin defeated Laurent Vigneault-Jutras 3-1 (-9, 6, 9, 4).
Based on these results, the Canadian Men’s Team is now confirmed as follows:

WOMEN – Burnaby, B.C. (17-18 January 2026)
The surprise of the women’s selection tournament is Ivy Pan of Alberta. Although she started in the first preliminary phase of the tournament, she managed to make it all the wy to the final and earn herself a spot on the Canadian women’s team for the 2026 World Team Championships.
The preliminary stage saw many surprises with young players defeating more experienced and higher ranked players. Finally, 4 players emerged to the semi-final stage, of which two are national team members, Ivy Liao (BC) and Katherine Morin (QC). They were joined by Olivia Huang (BC) and Ivy Pan (AB), both young players and members of the junior national team.
In the first semi-final Katherine Morin defeated Olivia Huang in a very close match (-12, -9, 7, 8, 7) denying Olivia the spot on the Canadian team to the WTTTC.
In the second semi-final, Ivy Pan continued her remarkable run during this tournament and defeated the more experienced and higher ranked Ivy Liao 3-1 (9, -3, 6, 7) to earn a spot on the WTTTC team.
The final of the selection tournament saw Katherine Morin get her revenge by beating Ivy Pan 3-2 (9, -10, 6, -5, 2) to whom she had lost in the groups. Ivy Liao defeated Olivia Huang 3-1 to place 3rd for the tournament and 1st alternate for the Team.
